Raymond Khoury was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1960. The family move to Rye, New York when fighting broke out in Lebanon in 1975. After graduating from Rye Country Day School, he returned to Lebanon to study architecture at the American University in Beirut. A few weeks after he graduated, civil war erupted and he was evacuated from Beirut. He ended up in London where he joined a small architecture practice. In an attempt to explore other career options, he earned his MBA at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, and joined an investment bank, which he stayed at for three years. Not satisfied with world of investment banking, he sought a more creative career, and hooked up with an banker who dabbled in the film business. Though unintended, he ended up with a career as an acclaimed screenwriter both in London and in Los Angeles. Khoury lives in London, with his wife and two young daughters.

In Antarctica, a scientific expedition drops anchor to witness the cataclysmic breakup of an ice shelf. As investigative reporter Gracie Logan begins her live news feed, a massive, shimmering ball of light suddenly appears in the sky, shapeshifting and enveloping the ship before disappearing as mysteriously as it arrived, the entire event witnessed by a shocked world audience.

On a mountaintop in Egypt, a solitary priest contemplates the magnificence of God’s creation spread out before him. His presence in this holy place is a mystery even to him; he is certain only of the elusive power of the calling he feels and the compulsive need to record in writing—and to draw—the vision which repeatedly consumes him.

And in Boston, reformed car thief Matt Sherwood finds out that his brother’s death may not be all it seemed to be—and that it may be related to the stunning controversy that’s spinning out of control and threatening to erupt into violence and chaos.

The entire world holds its breath as Gracie and Matt chase down the story of a lifetime: Has God finally decided to reveal himself? Or is something more sinister at hand?

Book 2 in the Last Templar series

Constantinople, 1203: As the rapacious armies of the Fourth Crusade lay siege to the city, a secretive band of Templars infiltrate the imperial library. Their target: a cache of documents that must not be allowed to fall into the hands of the Doge of Venice. They escape with three heavy chests, filled with explosive secrets that these men will not live long enough to learn.

Vatican City, present day: FBI agent Sean Reilly infiltrates the Pope’s massive Vatican Secret Archives of the Inquisition. No one but the Pope’s trusted secondi get in—but Reilly has earned the Vatican’s trust, a trust he now has no choice but to violate. A vicious, uncompromising terrorist bent on revenge has kidnapped Tess Chaykin, and the key to her freedom lies in this underground crypt, in the form of a document unread for generations. It is known as the Fondo Templari, a secret history of the infamous Templars that may reveal the explosive secret behind their centuries-old extermination—and in the process illuminate a lost corner of history and its colossal 21st century implications.

With his trademark blend of edge-of-your-seat suspense and incendiary historical research, Raymond Khoury’s The Templar Salvation marks a triumphant return to the rich territory that launched his bestselling career.
