Reading the book will not only give you lots of reading practice but will also give you plenty of insight into how languages work. This can give you ideas on how to learn English your way. You don't have to read all of it. You can pick chapters of parts that you find useful. Kindle, Google or online dictionaries can help you define words you don't know. I can't guarantee that you'll really love the book, but if you find it interesting why not read all of it!
