The teen promises him that she has a genie that will bring his favorite TV character, Teen Robin Hood, to meet him. In what seems like too much of a sitcom plot, Annika drives several hours, invades the show's set, and persuades its star to come home with her. He's on a tight schedule. Paparazzi attack them. His car breaks down. Steve and Annika fall in love, adding a sweet, but uncertain, romance to the mix. She also learns that he has a family situation of his own to resolve. Questions about the meaning of life and whether there is a caring God give the book heft but don't always jibe with its lighter aspects. Annika is a resourceful, kindhearted heroine, and her Robin Hood has dimension as well. The novel is interesting enough to attract reluctant readers, and it makes a fine, if not necessary, addition to the chick-lit shelf.[/TD] [/TABLE] A good read for fun and teen romance, a little cheesy and nothing out of the ordinary though. Guys can be annoying, but the demonic kind are the worst. That is how Kenzie Sutcliffe felt about Levi. He shot out of Kenzie's shower, a.k.a. the demon hole, not too long ago. It was hard for Kenzie to close the portal - it involved her driving the family's minivan into the kitchen. And what thanks does she get for that? She's grounded, not allowed to drive, and getting chauffeured around by a demon whose driver's license is dubious at best. Plus, the demon tells her, when one portal closes - another one opens. Even though Levi can be a pain, Kenzie just can't let the other demons drag him back to hell. Guess that means it's up to her to save the day.again![/TD] [/TABLE] These two are really fun to read, hilarious and sarcastic in some way. Enjoy!

Brittany is her Chicago high school's "golden girl" but few of her friends know that her parents are totally dysfunctional and that she is highly invested in caring for her physically and mentally disabled older sister. Alex is a member of the Latino Blood, but he wishes he could leave gang life and pursue a college career. The plot thickens as Alex accepts a bet from a friend that he cannot bed Brittany by Thanksgiving. Smoldering doesn't quite do justice to the romantic banter that sparks between them. As the story unfolds, Alex is incarcerated and later hospitalized. Raw language and Spanish phrases that Anglo readers might feel obligated to investigate further are peppered throughout. The pace picks up too quickly at the end, leaving readers wondering if they missed something as time that has previously been marked day by day begins to clip along in five-month increments. Overall though, this is a solid romance that's suitable for reluctant readers.[/TD] [/TABLE] Personal view: A touching love story of a typical "bad boy + good girl" romance. It has everything you're looking for in a young adult romance: high school plot, intensive attraction between the two main charas, funny dialogues, romantic scenes, some twists and turns, and a very happy ending. And the alternating narratives is definitely something new that you'd like to check out. 2. Rules of Attraction - Simone Elkeles Trích: [TABLE="width: 100%"] [TD="class: alt2, bgcolor: #F4F2ED"]Rules of Attraction: The sequel to Perfect Chemistry! When Carlos Fuentes returns to America after living in Mexico for a year, he doesn’t want any part of the life his older brother, Alex, has laid out for him at a high school in Colorado . Carlos likes living his life on the edge and wants to carve his own path—just like Alex did. Then he meets Kiara Westford. She doesn’t talk much and is completely intimidated by Carlos’ wild ways. As they get to know one another, Carlos assumes Kiara thinks she’s too good for him, and refuses to admit that she might be getting to him. But he soon realizes that being himself is exactly what Kiara needs right now.[/TD] [/TABLE] This sequel is pretty cheesy and definitely not as good as the first one "Perfect chemistry" but give it a try anyway. Putting aside the cheesy part, it can be a fun read.

Awkward, plain-Jane teenager Callie is on a school trip abroad when she spies a pair of “totally classic” Prada shoes in a shop window and buys them on impulse, hoping to impress more popular girls on the trip. Unfortunately, moments after trying the shoes on, she trips, falls and blacks out. The next thing Callie knows, she is in 19th-century England, where she is mistaken for a duke's childhood friend arriving for an extended visit. With nowhere else to go, Callie stays at the duke's castle, and during the next four weeks, she becomes good friends with the duke's cousin, develops a love/hate relationship with the duke and shocks nearly everyone in the castle with her feminist ideology and numerous faux pas (“You could have heard a pin drop when I asked if they had ketchup,” she says). Part comedy of manners, part romantic fantasy, this fast-reading, playful novel takes the idea of feeling out of place to a hilarious extreme. Ages 12–up.[/TD] [/TABLE]
